5 Best Spots for the 2024 Total Eclipse

If you somehow happened to miss the ‘once in a lifetime’ total solar eclipse we had right here in Tennessee in 2017 – fear not, another one is on its way this spring!

While we aren’t technically in the solar eclipse travel path here in Cumberland County, the path isn’t that far away – see the map here:  https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2024/

And here we present a list of the 5 best spots for the 2024 total eclipse, should you feel like traveling to see it (again – if you didn’t miss it!) or like me, for the first time.

And, if you’re flying, which we always recommend, there’s no better way to get to the airport and back home than using Anderson Shuttle!  Book your ride here:  https://andersonshuttle.com/schedule/

5 Best Spots for the 2024 Total Eclipse

Top 5 locations to view the 2024 Total eclipse:

  1. San Antonio, TX

While you might* have to drive just a bit to get further inside the path, SA represents one of best spots due it’s general weather conditions during this time of year.  Southwest has a non-stop flight out of BNA.

  1. Austin, TX

Austin is right on the edge of the path, and has all kinds of other things to do and see while you’re there.  Southwest also flys non-stop there from Nashville.

  1. Dallas, TX

A bigger city (and more crowded) than both the above TX cities, Dallas is well positioned in the path and has the most non-stop flights from BNA on both American and Southwest.

  1. Cleveland, OH

I can’t think of a cooler place to check out the eclipse than in Cleveland at the Rock & Roll hall of fame, which will have its SolarFest going on.  Southwest has the only non-stop option from BNA.

  1. Niagara Falls, NY

If you can get the weather conditions to cooperate with you, Niagara Falls might be the most picturesque place to see the event.  Buffalo’s the airport you fly in and out of to get there.

Well we hope this little guide helps if you’re off to see another afternoon of total darkness. We’re hoping for great weather and a great experience!
